Unable to download via EA Play Pro

I have the PC version of EA Play Pro. The version that comes with Game Pass Ultimate works as I have been able to download those games, however when I upgraded, I was unable to download the new Dead Space. I reinstalled the EA app, logged out and back in, relocated the download folder, reset the app, ran the app as an administrator, and lowered my User Access Control settings. I did find the suggestion of using the Origin app, which worked, but now the Origin app has me use the EA app and I am unable to bypass the popup to use the Origin app. Is there any fix for this?

  • I appear to have found the solution. If I unlink my Xbox account that has Gamepass, then it found the game and appears to work just fine.

Hi @V7Z7V7 To confirm EA Play Pro is only available through the EA App. If you have Game Pass Ultimate you would have access to the standard edition of EA Play.

When you attempt to download or play Dead Space are you getting a specific error?

I was able to access EA Play Pro through Origin. On the EA App I have Pro, but I also have the download issue. When I click download it prepares for about 10-15 minutes then says that "there was an error and to try again later."

@V7Z7V7 Thanks for this update, I can share it with the team. We may have been running into an entitlement issues with both subscriptions.
  • I have this problem. I have Ea Play Pro on PC and I try to download Dead Space, but when I download I always receive "There's a problem with you download. Give us a few minutes, then try again". I tried again both with my ssd and harddrive which both have sufficient space but I always get the same error. How do I fix this?

  • I linked Xbox and then unlinked it aswell as Steam and Ps4 and now its downloading finally. Thank you for the tip 😉

But I never linked XBOX before, facing the same problem. What should I do then?

  • Unlinking all accounts did not work for me, still refuses to download ☹️, considering the original post was from 2 months ago im not confident this will be fixed anytime soon.
