Steam version of DA:O - Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid.

Just purchased recently, started playing a bit. I wanted to check the online profile, and it's empty.

I've put an exception in the firewall that allows full access for DAOrigins.exe, so there should be no port blocking info, but the characters/profile won't update.

So I tried to upload a screenshot... when I do that, I get this error message:

"Unable to access your online profile storage. The account information provided may be invalid."

This seems to have come up before, and I can find old topics in the BSN and other places, but all of the info is out of date.

I had this exact same issue so I asked Jessie Reid from BioWare what the issue is and this is the response he gave me:
"Hi, you have the problem with your profile name being too long because of playing DA2 first. I can't fix that issue so you'll have to talk to EA Support to get a shorter dragonage persona name."

I don't think I played DA2 first IMO but it could be the problem. So we need shorter persona names?

And yes, I have a Social account. Same name.

I have the same exact problem.
My characters, Screenshots and achievements are not uploaded to my online profile. I have as the OP made sure the firewall sees the game as an exeption and even given the game priority internet. I have had the game over a week now and I have had friends visiting my page so that is not the issue.
Profile Not Found
The requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded.
I get this everytime I try to see what is uploaded or even just go to my game/ Dragon Age ultimate on the webpage. In the game it says I have 50 out of fifty items stored so I can store nothing else but as long as I cant manage the items as they don't show I will never be able to do so.
When I press the online Profile in the game it takes me directly to the logged in profile page so that is not the issue either.
The only thing I can see as to being the issue is that it is a Steam folder so it is not installed at the same path as a retail game That might be the cause other than that I dont know?
Edit When I then try to manually upload a picture taken in game using the upload program on the profile page I get the same for every picture as the OP when trying to install the pictures.
Edit 2 Problem is solved for me I can Upload just fine now I don't know how I am sorry to say

I guess I should have checked back sooner.

I tried to upload the screenshot, because the characters weren't syncing to the site, so I thought trying to force an update might reveal something. I see an achievement has made it though, but nothing else.
If I click the online profile option, it takes me to the profile page, but it says
"Profile Not Found, the requested player does not have any Dragon Age data uploaded."
I recently found another thread that seemed to indicate that possibly the problem could be that I played Dragon Age 2 before starting Origins, and that there might be something about creating another persona?

Same issue here with screen shots. I have a BSN account too, also when trying to upload a character via thecharacter editor (for the ring) same issue. It uploads my achivements without issue though.
