Once you've had a moment to download it, can you confirm if this is still happening?
I have completely different suspicions. I don't feel like starting the game over again for the fourth time. If someone could check if the fault lies with the box we get with new clothes/armor, which appears next to the Workshop in the Lighthouse. And my next suspicion is getting wolf statuettes.
I'm currently checking to see if this error will go away when I reach the point of no return. Up to this point, I am not doing any side missions and I am not collecting champion essences.
My first thought about this bug is the game version. I don't know about others, I use the EA Play Pro version.

After finishing the mission in Weisshaupt, I was able to use the dagger. So far, I have "cleared" all available locations and companion missions.
The only missions I don't do are those related to wolf statues and the Crossroads missions related to champion essences.
My conclusion: the problem is the activities we perform at Crossroads.
EA - maybe this will help you fix the problem faster.
loneroad1-the suspicion that the box is causing the problem is wrong.
Can confirm it is not the Mass Effect or Premium DLC chest. As I have both used and not used them and still got the same issue
