I have no chest that spawns to get my DLC. Same thing that happens with the Pre order items and deluxe edition items!!!

I didn't get a chest to open, the weapons are showing in the wardrobe but same as the pre order items and the deluxe items they are locked as if the game doesn't recognise I have them. Been onto live chat and they a logging it as a bug, not holding my breath considering this has been an issue since day 1. All the the other items are also still locked despite this being another new character I created to test it ... sigh!

Hey, Rooks I wanted to drop in and provide a small update on this issue.There are two issues right now that I am reviewing with some higher-ups that need to be addressed1. Pre-order and Deluxe edition content not showing up in the game or being locked.2. Rooks Weapon and Armor appearance set being claimed and not unlocking in the game. I did some digging into accounts and spoke with some folks about this. They are going to look into this and figure out what we can do for the players who should have this content. I know it has been a while for some players and it is frustrating for sure, but for the moment, we have to give it a bit more time to see what can be done.Please note: Live Support cannot resolve this one for players. If you create a case, they will more than likely direct you here, so I don't want players wasting time with cases that won't go anywhere. Yes we were told to raise it here to be resolved so if EA Shepard isn’t available then surely someone else should be picking it up, it’s almost 8 months with no resolution.

I have tried all the things mentioned above and unfortunately nothing has worked, I also have:Repaired the gameUninstalled it and reinstalled itDeleted in game saves, files in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age The Veilguard and %PROGRAMFILES%\EA Games\Dragon Age The VeilguardCreated numerous new charactersNot skipped any of the prologue dialogue scenesNot using any modsPlayed offline.The items are showing the wardrobe but they are locked along with the items from the deluxe edition and pre-order, it's as if the game doesn't recognise that I have them.

Rubyrue791 It can make a difference. Not always. I do it because my SSD is an OS drive. You can test it and reinstall it to the same drive but don't think it will change much. As long as the install of the game and content are all on the same drive.

Another update:
I just loaded up a save I had right after the prologue (there seems to be issues with EA servers atm) and the chest has shown up in the lighthouse. This only ever happened once before. However the same issue I had the first time it ever showed is present here still. The items never get unlocked, even though I opened the chest and got the message about the DLC.

The server issue may have something to do with it? Another sense of false hope unfortunately. I don't even want to turn off the game right now because I know the chest is going to disappear again.

AFTER TYPING THIS POST THE DLC HAS SHOWN UP I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S PERMANENT OR IF IT WILL DISAPPEAR AGAIN HOWEVER I'M SO EXTATIC RIGHT NOW!! IT NEVER HAS UNLOCKED FOR ME BEFORE SO IM HOPING IT'S A PERMANENT FIX!! PLEASE CHECK YOUR GAMES NOW AND LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKED FOR YOU ALSO!! EA_Shepard was this your doing??

Okay I've done a bit more testing.
I made a brand new save once I opened the chest and made sure all the DLC was there.
I went and loaded a more recent save however the DLC did not show up.
I want back to the first save and the DLC was still there so that's a good sign.
I went back to the save I had when I first got to the lighthouse. The DLC message appeared again as well as the chest however the items were not unlocking after I opened the chest again.
So I don't think this issue is 100% fixed as of yet but I will update with any other info I have.

I checked back again, as I thought it was not fixed. The items have disappeared again, and don't show up anymore.
The save I made after equipping the items still had the items there however when I went into the chest again they immediately disappeared. The only item left is the lighthouse outfit which I equipped one of the pre order items on. That slot remained unchanged however the combat items I equipped (the DLC items) all disappeared as soon as I got into the wardrobe screen.
This issue proceeds to elude us 11 months on...

Another update.
Spoke with about 8 different support agents. Each one confirming the game as well as the DLC do not show up that I own them on my account. All they do is say they will "escalate" this issue and fill out a report which we all know will do nothing.
This could be the cause of this issue as well? My EA account does not show that I own the DLC items. I used an appearance unlocked mod today as well however the DLC items do not seem to be showing up at all in any of my saves (even crossed out).
