Hard crashing on console [Xbox Series X]

Thank you for acknowledging this! I actually originally bought the steam version and couldn’t get past character creation without crashes. I then decided to just screw it getting the ps5 version and NOPE. More random crashes that require a hard reset. So frustrated that this patch didn’t address it. The game is almost unplayable.

This is also happening to me (Series X). One thing I did notice--not sure if it's just an incidental correlation or if there some sort of causal relationship--but this happens much less frequently when I'm playing with my headphones on rather than using my soundbar (with Atmos). Soundbar I get about 20-30 minutes between crashes, headphones might be hours.

Also, it seems to happen if I leave the game on and my character in one place for a long time while I do something else. It will be fine as it sits there, but seems to crash within minutes of my return.

But it's just like you described: sometimes hard crashes the whole system and sometimes just crashes to Xbox home. Thought the patch was to fix this, but just had a whole system crash post patch and found this thread. Really need some bioware acknowledgement, as hard crashes really scare me. Last thing I need is a game bricking my system or creating errors that will slow my system.

Anyone have contacts at a game journalism site? Seems like a good scoop for someone. I did talk to an EA rep and they would only say that BioWare is aware of it and is working on a fix. But BioWare has yet to acknowledge the problem.

Same, but it only hard crashes for me. 😡

Same issue and so bad cannot move forward in game. no way to get around the crash as its happening in the same place finishing up Emmrich's quest trying to take Manfried back. 

This literally just happend yo me in my series X hard chrashed the console and freaked me right out

I never received a follow-up from my last message with EA_Illium.

Unsure if they are fully aware of the issue, every conversation I've had with reps + Illium haven't inspired confidence.

I ended up refunding the game and I'm pretty sure it's already been cracked on PC, so I'm just gonna play it there and hope I don't face the same issue.
