No Companion Dialogue During Enemy Battles

I'm having the same issue! Except I'm on PC, this happened on my third playthrough and my fourth- from tearstone Island onwards no dialogue seems to trigger in combat at all and none of Lucanis's romance combat lines trigger up to that point.
