EA App Download Error - There's a Problem With Your Download

Hello,  i have a problem with F1 22 in EA play PC, when i put to download the game it stays in preparation with 14% and after that it does not advance until it gives the error, i tried all the help that EA says and even installed windows again but nothing has worked so far, I need help.

The above link helped me solve my issue today, perhaps it will help some of you others. My issue specifically?

Mass Effect was in my library and in the store as owned, but I could not download it due to the error mentioned in the OP thread title.

Today, I said I would fix it one way or the other, and I did.

The key is to uninstall EA Desktop. Then install an older *full* version of Origin that is linked within the above linked thread. Then, you will need to alter the local.xml that is contained within Program Data. I will not give the entire instructions again, they are presented much more clearly and with images, in the link provided. Then you will run Origin again and not have your progress blocked by the forced EA Desktop app installation prompt. Now, install the problematic game, which for me was Mass Effect (2007). Once the game was installed, I ran it once from Origin, to make sure that the installation was actually successful (it was). Next, I reinstalled EA Desktop, which uninstalled Origin again. However, now, my game is in my library and I can launch it successfully.

This is a set of hoops for you, but they are not too difficult. They would be far less difficult if EA didn't force us to jump through them, and would just allow Origin to still be installed while they are working out the ongoing disaster that is EA Desktop, but we have to deal with reality.

Result - I now have all of my purchased games installed and recognized by EA Desktop. Hopefully this will help someone.

i try everything i can find but nothing work, try downloading with cloudflare warp on it work for me. idk why uninstalling bunch of stuff reinstalling again doesnt work for me

i believe this could have something to do with games that were uninstalled and you're now trying to reinstall.

i have the issue with "mad games tycoon" which i had already uninstalled (so the first download was working, yesterday) but wanted to give another try

(too bad the origin app was killed, i used to resolve some similar issue by just downloading the game there)

edit: i've let it rest for ~30 minutes with the app window open (downloads overview page) and randomly clicked on retry.

the red error text still showed but suddenly it showed filesizes and how it progressed the download. it went through and installed properly.

Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

UPDATE: So I'd like to up the percentage to 100% of the time now. I didn't realize it when I put this up. 

So the problem is occuring in the following downloads:

menswear kit

Highschool years (14% then stops)

growing together (14% then stops)

I have to cancel the repair download for those packs for the repair to complete, of course it isn't ACTUALLY complete b/c those 3 packs could not be repaired......

Also, I HAVE tried clearing the cache for EA App, but it doesn't seem to help.

UPDATE 6.6.2023: NOW the download error is occurring on Spa day too - I'm not sure if its any particular pack that is more likely to have the issue.

Well from startup issues to missing libraries to refusing to download your paid content.

Every imagineable feature in a front-end is bugged and broken, at last surely thing's can't possibly get worse.

I tried downloading my content onto another machine, it refuses to download Everyday Clutter Kit because "something when wrong.", so I cleaned my caches and decided to Repair my game, guess what couldn't even do that, that hung-up half-way thur too.

Anyway I just copied everything from one machine to the other, and it detected everything, but I would of been absolutely screwed had I didn't have the packs on another machine.

I can’t download dls for Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II, while each reinstall does not install different dls two and three each time

Same here for Mass Effect Legendary, have tried everything I could find or think of and NOTHING helps, what a piece of junk launcher where I can't even download my games. 

I just did a clean install of the client and tried to install dead space. I get this error, this thread is a year and a half old!! They need to dissolve their launcher and migrate it to steam or epic.
