app opens, has a loading screen for 5 seconds and then shows me a black screen

I have tried everything. I have reset my Mac, deleted the app and reinstalled it, tried the launch helper, watched dozens of videos, etc. I have scavenged this website looking for answers but every post is just slightly different from my situation. The app actually opens, it does not close by itself, I am not getting something that says the app has crashed, I am not using a VPN, I have done NOTHING new to or on my Mac since playing sims. I played sims, saved the game, closed the game and then closed my Mac. The next time I tried to open it, EA would not load/work. I saw a post saying to open the activity monitor or whatever and then quit the app, I have done that. I have tried dozens of things for the past 5 hours to no avail.  Please help.

    Hi there, sorry to hear you’re running into this EA app launch issue on Mac. I understand how frustrating it must be after spending around 5 hours trying different troubleshooting steps without success.

    Could you confirm whether you’ve already tried a clean reinstall of the EA app? Simply dragging the EA app to the Bin does not remove all its associated files. Leftover data in Library folders can cause issues when reinstalling.

    If you haven’t already, please try a full clean reinstall and make sure the related EA app files are removed before reinstalling.
