Battlefield 1 Launches in TaskManager Then Disappears

Clicking the "Play" button launches the game in task manager, EA minimizes, the game fails to start with no error message and then EA appears again.

The game was purchased on the Origin app a few years ago. It worked prior (also years ago), and it shows I have 97 hours played.

Things tried so far:

Reinstalled the game and removed registry entries (4 times).

Repaired the game (4 times).

Ran the game in multiple different compatibility modes with/without administrator.

Ran EA as Administrator.

Deleted the data inside the BF1 Documents folder and removed specific files inside the game directory and issued a repair.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled c++redistx64 included in installer folder.

Repaired EA/Cleared cache.

Uninstalled/Reinstalled EA and cleaned registry (twice) in between installs.

Disabled EA overlay/notifications.

Updated graphics driver.
Flashed BIOS.

Checked Windows Firewall for missing entries.

Closed unimportant apps.

No listings in Event Viewer. No crashes. No warnings. No messages.

Computer Specs: See attached image.

Winver: 22H2 (OS Build 22621.963)

Solved the issue by running every single executable as admin for the EA app via Compatibility mode.

Support telling me it's a known issue with no ETA of a fix is quite interesting.

  • I tried to be slick, installed BF4, then used the in-game UI to click and join a friend in BF1.

Waited in queue, but when my turn was up to join, it launched BF1 and failed just like every other attempt.

Tried launching again today, got an invalid license error.

Repaired and now it's back to the original launch result (or lack thereof).

EA phone support has said this is a known issue and there is no ETA of a resolution. Quite frustrating to have no ETA, considering this has probably been a problem for a while.

    Dear Diary,

It's been over two weeks now of having the issue with BF1 launch issues.

Today I tried turning off Windows Firewall entirely, running UIActivation.exe in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7, but alas, nothing seems to work to launch BF1.
