BF 2042 Download Broken

Summarize your bug Can't download Battlefield 2042... can't delete the trial version so I have an option to Play the game and Download the game. Both just try downloading the game and do absolutely nothing. Pretty Standard EA release if I'm honest. ***************DON"T PREORDER EA GAMES******************
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? If you can't find it you need new IT.
What happens when the bug occurs? What do you expect to see? Maybe the game download?

Did we get a 10 hr trial because you figured, people wont be able to play launch day at least they can play a few hours of the game they purchased..............

    Anyone unable to download the game on the EA app try downloading through Origins. This let me download it and now launch it from the EA app. I also deleted all BF 2042 files I had downloaded on my PC.

    If that was the case we would get a lot more reports @NorEliteGamer.

    It could be that there were still some files on the RAM. Out of curiosity, did you try turning of the PC and power it down for a few minutes? It should have the same effect.

    Hmm then it is very weird, it could maybe be a problem on my end, but this is the first and only time i have experienced something like this.

    Yes i have tried turning it off and on for about a week, to refresh it and all, loaded it in a VM, emptied caches manually and all drivers have been up to date, now when i took out one of the 16GB sticks is the first time i have seen that it actually gained progress on the download bar. Hopefully when i get home in 6 hours it has been completed

    i have exact same issue in 2024 using a 4080 and a 1070 on a 5900 32 gig ram.  and all people do is tell me to clear cache, use app recovery restart machine, never works.  i paid 2 times with 2 different codes and yet no one helps, trying again through the terrible hard to get suport and have gone via email as people on app seem very stupid.  or lack understanding of my language in english. either way its a aful experience ea.

    yes i got code through third party cd keys first time and another second time yes im in uk and first code was uk second code was global, yes i only did it on the new ea app and finally i have recorded the second key as i wanted proof that ea app accepted the key.  and yes i bought key with the duiirect implication it was done on the ea app and not origin.  edither way why do i now have battlefield 2040 on my games list that you accepted but failes to download?  thats not third party fault when you accept code?  or am i missing something here?
