Summarize your bug I cannot install EA Desktop after uninstalling
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to install the app
What happens when the bug occurs? States I already have it installed and asks if I want to boot, opens a File Explorer window in the System32 folder
What do you expect to see? The app installed.
I cannot re-install EA Desktop. I had it installed and it was working fine, then one day it starts saying "Oof, something exploded" every time I try to launch a game or launch the standalone app. I tried to uninstall the app through Add or Remove programs and it told me that it couldnt find the uninstall.exe. I used Revo uninstaller and got it uninstalled, now whenever I try installing it, it tells me it's already installed. So far I've tried:
-Deleting EA Desktop entries from the registry using Regedit, CCleaner, and Revo
-Deleting EABackgroundservices
-Making a folder in C:/Program Files for Electronic Arts and running the app as admin
-Running as admin from Downloads and Desktop
-Installing from/to a different drive
-Uninstalling and reinstalling Origin
At one point I somehow got it reinstalled but every time i logged in it gave me a 10005 error code. so I uninstalled it again and then every time i click "Let's go" it went through downloading stuff and stopped stating I already have it installed. Now after a reboot it jsut immediately says I already have it installed. I really don't know what to do anymore, any ideas?
