Cannot Open EA app, Background services crashed on Windows download

hello,

i was trying to redownload the EA app on my computer to play the sims as i have not touched this computer since the end of 2023. i used to use the origin app to play the sims but as the new update began where the sims must be on the ea app i began to use my roommate’s pc as its much nicer and smoother to run on. now i’ve deleted my old origin app and all the old files and mods and tried downloading the ea app but everytime it keeps popping up as ‘background services crashed’. i double checked and made sure all old files have been deleted on this computer but i am still having trouble. i have tried the repair button and tried manually updating but each time it crashes again. i just wanna play the new sims battle pass before it expires :/
