Signed up to EA play and downloaded Battlefield 2042 on my pc running Windows11.I load the game, a minimzed screen pops up, indicating the gaming is in the progress of launching. Then the black pop-up screen just disappears, and Im back to the EA Play app. Not even as much as an error message.I have tried running the game as Administrator, turning off Game Mode, updating my drivers, quitting all others apps which might interfere.Still doesnt work. I see a lot of other people have had similar issues, but for those who seem to have resolved the issue, it just "worked all of a sudden".Please help me resort this issue or I want my money back

Hey there EveryoneI am just randomly replying here around BF2042 not launching through EA APPSo I have been struggling with this for months now where I installed the game, installed, repaired it, and did the same with the origin and EA APP as well. The scenario was that I have BF2042 onS team, so when I try to play it then it opens the EA APP and then restarts the app with no message,. no error nothing and the game not launching. I then read that Origin does not have this issue, I uninstalled EA App, and installed and used origin for a week before origin then again asked me and FORCED me to install EA App....so the problem again persisted where the game does not launch at all and just restarts the EA App constantly when I try to run the game.Through countless threads, I have tried and tried all solutions from wipe to install from uninstall to permission etc and Today I finally stumbled upon the problem.The issue I had was that EA App itself along with the EA App services all needed to be run as Administrator. So my solution to this was as follows:1) Go to - C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop2) On ALL EXE files that have EA logo meaning EABackgroundservices.exe/EACRashReporter.exe/EAConnect_microsoft exe/EALauncher EXE/errorReporter exe/EAUpdater exe I right-click on each go to "properties - compatibility-change settings for all users and select "run this program as an administrator". 3) Close EA App, Close Steam, and relaunch Steam-EA App and started the game, and it WorksI don't know if it was a specific exe one that I changed that caused it to get fixed - I literally gave up hope and said I'm going to forget the game coz every time I want to play it doesn't open or struggle for hours and days to get it working. And this time I tried this as mentioned above and it worked. So I also did the same for the EasyAnti cheat apps on PC and the BF2042_Launcher and AntiCheat launchers. However the Launchers of BNF2042 didn't fix it, the EA App changes however did. Regardless everything works now so I assume its the EA App permission to run as an administrator that' caused the issue.Hope this helps someone 🙂Stay safe soldiers.

@ZAYZ007 I have tried all mentioned solutions without any luck. Very odd that EA is not more(at all) involved in pursuing a solution for this issue.Cancelling my EA subscription and giving up on this game. Appreciate the help and advice guys

Hi all, i have weird problem with game launch. I bought BF2042 in Epic Store and i start game in Origin, but after EAC loading screen i have small black window in left top corner and after that game close without errors. Delete the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat
and try game start again !

update us please !
Make sure ea app is launched as admin.

Did what you proposed. First, tried launching both EA app and run BF as admin. Didnt make a difference.

Deleted folder /EasyAntiCheat. Now the inital load won't fully load, giving me the error AntiCheat not installed

@424b33ecc1d5f62bin the installation folder of BF2042 is an EASYANTICHEAT folder, open it.
In this folder you find a file named as EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
run this file as an administrator ! and install/repair EAC

Now make sure you launch origin or ea app or steam ect ect as an ADMINISTARTOR !
test game and update us please.

I did all this as well. Still will not launch. I even have all drivers updated, BIOS updated, latest Win 11, verified local files, reinstalled game through Steam, antivirus (Windows Defender) filtered properly.

Do you guys got any other anticheat installed (for APEX as example ?),
some needed to delete / uninstall that or other easy anticheat (EOS_easyanticheat).
Also make sure windows is not launch / booting any gameplatform during Windows boot !!!
Make sure you only launch / run the gameplatform you did buy BF2042 at.
Right click the shortcut from the gameplatform and select to run as an administrator!
Test game, still issues follow steps below.

Delete EAC manualy:
Press the Windows key + 'E' to open File Explorer.
Press ALT key, select Tools > Folder Options > View, then check Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
Navigate to the following location C:\\Program Files(x86)\EasyAntiCheat\ and delete the files:
Delete this file C:\\Program Files(x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.sys
Delete this file C:\\Program Files(x86)\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat.exe
Navigate to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming
Delete the folder EasyAntiCheat
Navigate to C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\Temp ,and delete ALL content.

Now reinstall EAC:
Right click the BF2042 shortcut at youre desktop and select OPEN FILE LOCATION.
in the installation folder of BF2042 is an EASYANTICHEAT folder, open it.
In this folder you find a file named as EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
Rightclick at it and select to run this file as an administrator ! and install/repair EAC

Also lets check windows Health:
SFC - Windows Health Check

Press Windows key + 'R' ,typ CMD
Press and hold down CTRL + SHIFT and press ENTER.
When User Account Control shows up, click Yes.
Use the following command lines, pressing Enter after each
(make sure you wait till each of the commands is executed properly):

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Reboot your system and test game.

If game still doesnt start try a cleanboot.
A cleanboot could solve also many issues:

Hide all Microsoft services, DISABLE (uncheck) ALL other processes, apps and services !

Cleanboot is just a one time clean boot ! Next reboot all will be reset and a normal boot will be occure.
Use msconfig to disable apps permanent each for new reboot.
DISABLE ALL other processes, apps and services from booting with windows, check instructions below:
Use the keyboard shortcut “Windows Key + R” and the “Run” window will open.
In the text box, typ MSCONFIG and press Enter or OK and the MsConfig window will open".
Select the tab STARTUP (select OPEN TASK MANAGER), and disable apps/programs by right click at them!
Those disabled apps will no longer boot with Windows , till ya set them enabled again !
