Can't play purchased game after Xbox Game Pass expire

(dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 07.03.22 22:30Summarize your bug EA Desktop app won't launch any game I own without prompting to login to Xbox game pass which I no longer have.&nbsp; I have no Game Pass games still installed on my computer including any games available from EA Play while my subscription was active.&nbsp; The launcher shows I own Battlefield 2042 Gold edition and other games but prompts me to login to Microsoft when I launch the game from the app but if I launch the game from the desktop shortcut it works fine.&nbsp; The EA desktop app permanently has a banner at the top to verify my EA Play with Game Pass Membership.&nbsp; Even after I enter my credentials it tells me that my Xbox game pass has expired.&nbsp; The banner goes away but my games will still not run from within the app.&nbsp; After closing and reopening EA Desktop, the banner comes back.&nbsp;How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure. Get Xbox game pass and then try when the game pass expires. What happens when the bug occurs? Unable to play purchased game even when the app says "Gold Edition owned". App prompts me to login to Microsoft to verify my Game Pass membership. After recognising that my membership has expired, I still cannot launch the game directly from the EA app but I can run it from my desktop shortcut. What do you expect to see? Yes all my games work fine on Origin so I’ve gone back to using that. Reinstalling EA desktop didn’t change anything.

I should add I also couldn’t update any owned games on EA desktop either.

This issue started after getting Xbox Game Pass but prior to that EA desktop would occasionally display links to purchase the games I already own. It even told me I own them in the library screen but when I click them from my main dashboard it would ask me to purchase.

Happy to try things to fix it but currently EA desktop is fully broken on my computer

Hey @Schmidlapp84,Can you try to download/install Origin &amp; login with your EA account where the standalone owned games are activated on to see if you're experiencing the same issue?*Please note that EA Desktop &amp; Origin can not run simultaneously.

@Schmidlapp84, yeah thanks for the extra info. It's kind of a known issue that sometimes some games that you own standalone can no longer be played if your EA Play runs out, sometimes this also happens when you have EA Play via Origin itself. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a 100% working for fix this at the moment, other than either (if you're experiencing the issue via the EA App) trying it via Origin, or if you're experiencing the issue via Origin, to contact our live support team to perform an account check.
