Can't uninstall EA Desktop, 'doesn't exist'

I have the same trouble. I tried to unistall EA Desktop with CCleaner, IOBIT unistall and Revo Unistall but i can't unistall EA completely... Even though i deleted all records with the software that i said rather, i think my problem had worsened because now I don't get that I have the program installed, but I can't reinstall it because the launcher tells me that I have it installed...

I finally was able to finally get rid of EA Desktop, but it required going into the Windows registry and doing a search(Ctrl +F) for 'EA Desktop" and deleting every entry that had that in it.  You can mess up your registry if you delete other things besides EA Desktop stuff so be careful.    A little note tho, there is like a thousand entries of that in the 'Components' folder of the registry.  I just manually skipped over that folder and started searching again and deleted the next few entries with that in it.  After that I rebooted and ran the EA Desktop installer and it installed and uninstalled again without freaking out.  It was a big pain in the butt and makes me dislike EA that much more, but now Star Wars: Squadrons is actually downloading when it wasn't before.  I'll play that game and then remove EA Desktop again.  Hopefully this helps someone.

So this is part of a larger problem, where I've been trying to connect EA Desktop to Xbox Gamepass, but at some point I uninstalled EA Desktop, then tried to reinstall it, and I'm being told that it is already installed on my PC, and that at the same time, it can't find the file and launcher. So I'm just kinda stumped at this point.

For the downloading issue, did you try clearing the cache first? You might have to fix it again and this way's much easier and quicker:

It's a little out of date - the file paths are different.

The first folder to delete is actually 'EA Desktop' in ProgramData.

As for the second lot of folders to delete, the path is correct this time but the folders still different. I just deleted 'EAConnect_microsoft', 'EADesktop', 'EALaunchHelper' and 'Electronic Arts'. Although really I've just moved them in case I deleted one I shouldn't have.

Works fine now, though it seems I have to do it every time I download a game.

also having this exact issue, let me know if you fix it 

I've used eadesktop for a while, then the .exe files disappered and i can't run eadesktop.

i've deleted all the files of eadesktop but when i try to run the installer it says that i've already installed eadesktop and i only can press "run eadesktop" button and i get the message "can't find eadesktop in C:\ProgramFiles...." 

Is there something that i have to delete to intstall that again?

@MongooseG93 @Kennarchy  I followed these steps to remove EA Desktop and install it again:

1- I deleted the EA desktop folder from my computer (on the hard drive where it was installed)

2- I took Revo unistaller and deleted EA Desktop (as if you uninstalled a program) and all the folders by analyzing traces of the program (in moderator mode)

3- Then I used CCleaner and cleaned all the erroneous records that it marked me

4- You have to go to windows registry editor and look for the path of:

Computer \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Electronic Arts

And delete that folder, then you go to:

\ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ WOW6432Node \ Electronic Arts

And you delete it, (I have also deleted origin just in case).

And it has fixed the install and uninstall problem for me. Hopefully they release a patch soon to correct this.

Try it this way, hopefully it works out for you.
