A little thing I found out, not sure it will work for everybody, but uninstalling the xbox (beta) app then uninstalling ea desktop worked for me. Hope this helps someone :D

I already deleted all the EA desktop files, though
I've tried everything here too, and the installation wont let me install EA Desktop again
