(EA and Steam Application will not run)

Hello! I have recently started having problems with not being able to open my EA app or my Sims 4 Application on Steam. Looking at this forum I tried to solve it myself by going through the instructions and to no avail; so I tried to uninstall both the EA app and the Sims 4 Application. I'm still getting the same message and baffled as I was playing earlier today. Still, now the application won't start up. On the Steam app when you would click to run the application it would run but never open the game. I tried to repair the file through the Steam app and it says there's nothing wrong with the file but when I try to open my EA app it gives me the message above. If anyone has run into this problem and knew any fixes I would appreciate it! If it's any use to mention it's downloaded onto a USB but it's run for months on the USB just fine. Thanks!
