EA app ' temporarily lost connection' - while connected to internet

Summarize your bug Launch the app, get error message - Temporarily lost connection. You're currently offline. Check internet connection while we try to reconnect you My internet is not offline and I can launch other applications fine.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Happens everytime I try and launch the app so
What happens when the bug occurs? I get the same error message and I cannot access the games I have paid for, when I want to play them.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to access and play the games I paid for when I want to play them. Is that too much to ask?

Was forced to switch from Origin to the new EA app. First boot up it let me into the app, next day I keep getting this error message and can get no further than the 'lost connection' pop up.

I can't even launch my games in offline mode, this is ridiculous. Not everyone is tech wise and can go spend hours  trying to figure out a fix just to play games the have paid for when they have the time to play them.

    Thanks but I did give that a try, no joy.  but I'm not really sure what I am doing so no way to tell if I did it right or not.

    We shouldn't have to be doing all these extra steps just to get access our games, I don't even want to play online, thats the real rub

    What i do is disable every protection in my antivirus, turn off all of them don't even let a single one is active (I'm using Kaspersky). Just wait a few seconds and try to open the EA app again, now see if it working, I hope it helps

    @61dd7d8e5f6a3e17 THANK YOU! I was forced to switch back to EA app last night so had the same issue. I also have Kaspersky, doing this worked. Just need to figure out with one seems to be mainly casuing the issue as it doen't seem great that we have to disable all protection for the app to work. Thanks again, been getting nowhere with a solution so this helps greatly
