Ea app broken after update on sims

Question

I have had no issues with the new ea app up until this point and it seems to have completely broken my game and almost computer!

the ea app kept crashing during and update this morning which lead to when finally being able to open the game a video card error message. I looked on ea and other forums and followed the steps to solve this which didn’t work I then tried to delete the game to redownload it completely. This is when the ea app has completely failed and crashed during the download of the main game onto my Mac. Now my Mac is running incredibly slow and can barely do anything and it is stuck verifying the game no matter what I do. All my Mac is up to spec and it seems to have gone terribly wrong with this specific update and I have no way of solving any of this!

I can’t seem to see anything from other people having the same issue so have no idea what is going on ☹️

omg I think I’ve actually got it to work now I was very very worried I have been trying to sort this since 9am this morning and it was not looking good&nbsp;🙌

I am having this same issue, it won't download the game and the EA app keeps crashing. How did you fix it?

@ericatbro Omg!! Could you please share how you fixed it, I’ve been struggling since the forced switch from Origin. Mine is also stuck verifying the app in the background and not finishing the Sims app update/downloading and will occasionally crash my laptop
