That actually worked for me!
I had the same problem, and it started today after I left the EA App open for too long. I don't know what happened exactly, but it restarted a couple of times and then stopped working completely over the course of a few minutes.I hope I won't have to use the VPN for every login

So , hope this helps.
I didn't know why , I had the same problem as you guys, good connection, everything worked except for ea app.
I have an external network card where i plug my ethernet cable, but i had the one from the board enaabled as well and it created a conflict.
So ,I disabled the wireless, the board one only left the one that I was using and it worked for me.

@Wiadson this protonvpn worked like magic. After trying everything and EA being unable to help, this was it!
Is there a way for the app to work without connecting to Netherlands all the time though?
- 3 years ago@Wiadson Yet another fix is if you have installed any antivirus such as Malwarebytes, uninstall it and check if the issue is resolved.

I uninstalled my Kaspersky Anti V like you said and it solved the problem. Thanks a MILLION!!!!!
Damn EA always took our money but never helps ☹️
They Deserve whatever bad Karma is coming to them.

Hello, actually you still can keep your Kaspersky antivirus,
What I do is just disable every protection if I want to play EA games, and enable it again if I'm done playing

Downloading Proton VPN worked for me. Fixed it right after I finished installing it.

I was able to connect to the EA App after I connected to Norton's VPN service. I was unable to authenticate to the website, through Origin, or through the EA App unless VPN was running. There is definitely some type of proxy or other issue, but this is not a user issue. I am on Xfinity, but it looks like others are having the issue globally. I may be wrong though. I am going to say this is an EA issue and they need to resolve on their end.
Need to update. BF2042 says it cannot connect, so there is a multi layer issue going on. I had no issues running the EA App or BF2042 last night, pacific time. Not sure what changed in the past roughly 16 hours.
Wanted to add this is definitely EA related. I was out getting tires replaced and tried logging into EA from my phone (AT&T) and could not.

I also tried this method. I use NordVPN and this issue was fixed when I connected to the Netherlands VPN. It didn't work when I tried the UK network. I refreshed the EA launcher multiple times (be patient) and it finally worked while still remaining connected to the netherlands network. I have yet to relaunch it after fixing this, so in my case I still don't know if I'll have to reconnect to the vpn each time I want to open EA. Hopefully not, I just want to play the sims :')
