Solved

EA app download button is greyed out, download is stuck on calculating time.

As I begin I want to say I looked around for help first and found that my problem is collided into three problems. First problem is I cant seem to download my new game pack for sims 4, The werewolves one. When I go to the add-on menu for the sims four to basically start the download with the EA app, Its greyed out and I cannot click it. However! if i go to the home menu it shows my new game pack on the game hub and I can click download from there - thus the app shows me how much space will be taken and i click download or okay, starting it. Then starts my second and third problem. On the bottom left corner of the app i have the small notification that my download has started except its forever stuck on the "calculating time", I click on the download manager to see if I can find out anything else - only to find there is no download que and its asking me if I want to check my collections or the store.

I have tried to restart the app, Even restart my internet. Went through the app on the files to do the recovery there - even tried to see if i could delete files and couldn't even follow that because the way they explained it was different with how I was getting the outcome- and I don't want to screw it up anymore as my internet is poor and want to avoid 4 day download if possible.

Please help if you can, sims is the few games i can play and id like to continue to do so..(i dont know how to screen shot sorry for no photos)

Hey @EclipseDragonfly is it possible to try it through Origin to see if you continue to have the same issue?

    Darko

  • @EA_Darko Hello darko! So I feel very dumb for not trying this out first. But i reinstalled origins (i thought it was installed) And without a problem it quickly started seeing if i had all my 22+ packs and then instantly started downloading my werewolf game pack!~Thank you so much for replying to me and fixing my issue :D
  • Hello Darko.

I am having the same issue, but Origins is now defunct, so I don't know what to do.

    Please help

    Ethan

  • Late reply, but fyi I had the same issue. Turns out it was because I had 11 items in my cart. When I removed one down to 10 it worked fine.

  • Hello! Late reply but hopefully this might help someone else.

I managed to get mine to work by going to Library, then under Installed it says "Sims 4" and underneath that in blue it says "Add ons" clicked add ons and it let me hit the download button on there.
