EA App Inaccessible - NTDLL Issue

This Issue started about 3 Months Ago when my EA App logged itself out, restarted the app, which shows the app login screen for around 2 seconds, before crashing. I tried to run Repair on the app, didnt work. I ran app recovery (cleared cache) which allowed the login screen to work for a few more seconds, before crashing again. I did a fresh app install, still didnt fix it, and I cannot even provide an error number since the EA Error Reporter has the same Crash issue too.

I used the event viewer to find that the app was experiencing an NTDLL.DLL error, which i researched fixes on how to resolve this issue, none of which were successful. This included running sfc /scannow in the CMD, which came out clean, but i still restarted my pc after this, and then ran DISM. i then restarted my pc again with no startup apps enabled and the app still crashed.

As many fixes suggested, by far the best way to get around this is to use the EA app on a separate windows profile, which i have been doing, however this issue has been bugging me for far too long now and i am wandering if anybody else has had this issue or if it can be fixed in a future app update.

Update - I have isolated the issue, and it was coming from having my Victrix Pro BFG controller plugged in in wired mode to a USB port. It works fine if I have it connected via wireless with the dongle, but not in wired mode.

    Hi there,

I have been having this issue as well and chased it up and down, it turns out the issue was having my Victrix Pro BFG plugged in in wired mode when launching the EA App. I could use it in wireless mode with the dongle no problem, but having it plugged in when launching kills the app. Very strange!

Definitely give unplugging your USB devices a try here.

    Hi,

My EA app crashes seconds after launching.

Usually through multiple clean boots and frustrating troubleshooting rabbit holes I can get it to launch, but then it'll fail again within a day or two.

Event view throws the following error:

Faulting application name: ErrorReporter.exe, version: 13.539.0.6052, time stamp: 0x68a8b6f3

I understand this has been an ongoing issue that EA has claimed that it has resolved, but it clearly hasn't. I'm very tired of wrangling with the app for 30-60 minutes every time I try to play Battlefield. I have tried the following but plenty of other things I've already forgotten:

    • Running sfc scans in command prompt
    • Setting the EA app to run as admin (as well as the games/Steam/etc.)
    • Reinstalling the EA app
    • Running app recovery
    • Reinstalling VC++ Redists
    • Turning off Intel Speed Step and Intel Speed Shift in BIOS

I've done just about everything short of a full Windows reinstall and I really, really do not want to have to do a full Windows reinstall.

Just fishing for any other magic bullet ideas that maybe people have found, or maybe some help from EA.
