I was never able to get the EA App to install so there is nothing to uninstall, I even completely removed Origin and all EA related stuff in registry and still the EA app won't install, I've been through all the guides on here, still get the same error while trying to install this damn awful app. I think it's time I just forgot about what games I had and never have anything to do with EA again
- KingRayVeteran3 years agoRising Veteran@Widow3cdo And your O.S. is? I know they're waiting for all products to stop working on my operating system. Talk about predatory capitalism. Forcing people to upgrade or else. If I put it on my laptop, I'll forever be forced to play them there, and that won't do. I see 1984 brewing all over this country.
I hear you. I feel you on this. I have double-digit thousands of hours with one game, and if not for that one, I would also disappear never to return. I'm on Windows 11... Just received an Email from an EA representative, explaining how to uninstall and fix a game within the EA App and how to clear cache for app/game when I clearly told them it is the EA App I can't install and that I just want to know what the error code means that I keep getting, while trying to install their app. Is this really hard for them to understand?
BTW if anyone at EA is reading this and want to check what my Error code means that would be great thnx... Error Code: INST-3-1316
I found out what my Error Code: INST-3-1316 means, "Product: EA app -- Error 1316. The specified account already exists."
and it doesn't matter how often or when I try to install the app I get that error as well as this error "INSTALLER_ERROR_UNKNOWN = EA app encountered an error during the installation. Try again a bit later."
Finally fixed my issue using a troubleshooter you can download here from Microsoft Fix problems that block programs from being installed or removed - Microsoft Support it works on windows 11 also.
where do i search for apps??
- @EA_Illium error code:09-d8c2,could u please give some help to install the ea app?

@nwmtfqogcv3a What apps?
een schande dat die app nog steeds niet werkt en nu werkt
origin ook niet meer wordt gedwongen om de EA app te downloaden die niet werkt
I have tried everything I have been told to do and everything I have read about. At one point I was told that they were working on this problem they would let me know. I not only have not heard back form any of them, but they permanently closed the case file. Has anyone had this problem and found a solution? I am getting desperate.
As of right now I can't use any of my Sims3 or Sims 4 games, I have a small fortune invested in these games.
There has to be a solution to this problem, even if it means letting those of us who can't install the EA app, to be able to download the Origin app so we can get access toour games.
Please someone help me!

@kaspence I think I can speak for everybody here when I say we empathize & sympathize with you. Whether it be gaming software or business, corporate executives are making it okay to drop the ball on their customers & consumers. Tech support is so far removed from the developers, it makes no sense to even pay them for not knowing how anything works. There is no more proper QA (testing), which tech support knows nothing about either. Last I will say is that I've worked hardware & software tech support, as well as ended my career as a software consultant. I had to know what I was doing every step of my career, and was trained very well. The world is changing, and I can't say it's for the better. Definitely not for us on this end of shoddy everything. Integrity, pride, and ownership has been thrown out the window in lieu of profits.
I said all that to say we understand, and I don't think there's a thing this place will do about what is happening with that blasted app. They'd have to introduce QA into a world that throws things out there without having to test it to death. We had to have ours tested in the department, division, company-wide, beta-testers, back to developers and all over again before we could release software to the world. No longer is the case, and there's nobody in between that is accountable for getting it right.
All I can say is, "Sigh." None of this will end well, but greed is the name of their game. Once they have our money, they could care less what happens after that.
