Every time I try to install it, it gives me this screen
I had the same issue and the following worked for me: I checked all the "Microsoft Visual C++..." under "Apps" and choosed "Repair" where it was available. I restarted my computer and then the installation went just fine.
@HavingFun7243 Yeah, tech support is rather useless. I haven't been able to play mine for several months because they don't know what the problem is. I got the dang thing to install, but now the app won't show my library. I saw it once, but downloading a game wasn't doing anything. They just don't know what they're doing without engineers getting involved.
If you follow much of the information in here, it may work for you. It got me past one problem only to hit another. SMH
They prefer me to mess around with these people indeterminately instead of giving me my money back. I filed a BBB report, and they're dragging their feet as usual. Other reports too. Capitalism has become a nightmare.

I think my windows 7 is 32 bit, but a while ago i had the ea app and it worked perfectly fine
@axammm No it doesn't. I got it to install, but the app can't see a thing, so it won't play a thing. Not one single game. I saw it briefly because they're messing with that app, but it wanted to download all my expansions, stuff packs, and what's the other one? Anyway, it got stuck wanting to download gigabytes of files and went back to seeing nothing at all. It has no memory that The Sims 4 is already installed and doesn't need reinstalling. Besides, I have some customization in the game files that shouldn't be undone. This is a disaster. Oh, I'm talking about the ProgramFiles folder unless I'm thinking about The Sims 3. I may have added nothing to the files in The Sims 4 folders. I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.

Yes, without tech support having any idea what these error codes are, you'll have to do trial and error. THEY SHOULD KNOW THEM! Have you installed using Administrator privileges? Right-click on the setup file and you'll see the option. Who is asking this? @SeaOfSymphonies or @HavingFun7243? Anyway, try that.

I ran the installer with admin permissions, have since upgraded my RAM to 16 gbs from 8 gbs. No dice. I've submitted another ticket to EA because they marked it as fixed when it very clearly isn't.
@SeaOfSymphonies I complained about them doing that too. Quick to close them because there must be a quota saying they are judged on the number of tickets they close as solved. Crappy system, because there is no marker about closed, NOT solved. They don't want anybody knowing that they have no clue what they're doing.
There is another post in either this one or another one, that has many steps of things to try. One of them got mine to install, but only to run into another problem EA isn't solving. Have left me without being able to play any of my games with my desktop computer ... for months. They could care less.
It was called "New EA app won't install." Looks like they merged it into this one. The solution is in here somewhere, but I tried many things before it finally installed. Make sure to completely uninstall the app before reinstalling it. Pieces left around will just carry over.
They're ignoring me now because I asked for my money back from all the games I can't play now. Over $1k, which is a drop in EA's bucket that they can afford.
