- @Pankow_Berlin Ea have sadly been one of the solid jokes in the gaming world for years, When i did finally get a response from them it wasn't even relevant to anything i had sent them. Just shows you, Admins don't seem to mind, Ea don't seem to mind so yeah, I'll have to sort it with my card issuer to get the money back.
- 1.) A workaround that helped me: Install EA Desktop on another PC, or have someone send the files from "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop" where the app works.
2.) Start Powershell and add the EA services with the following two commands:
New-Service -Name "EABackgroundService" -BinaryPathName "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\EABackgroundService.exe"
New-Service -Name "EAAntiCheatService" -BinaryPathName "C:\Program Files\EA\AC\eaanticheat.gameservice.exe"
3.) The hardest part. On the computer where the EA app works, use the registry editor to search for and export the entries that are related to "EA App" and in my case to Fifa 23, i.e. "Fifa".
Then import the exported entries into the registry, where the EA app cannot be installed.
This is how it worked for me. The game then has to be downloaded completely again, but the EA app starts and everything is there. An update of the EA app is still not possible.
I would also provide the installed EA app and registry entries (which still need to be customized), but I don't think that's possible due to copyright regulations. sorry do you have any other solution?
Sorry, no.
I tried out every fix i found and nothing worked, then i tried just using origin again but it forces me to install the ea app which is broken? I know you dont have anything to do with this but why bring out a app which is broken and then force players to switch from a working app to a broken app.
- @NightKing7923 Exactly my issue, And this as been this way for me for around a year now, Across multiple fresh installs of windows and everything yet now its forced me to switch and now i have nothing. It isnt like they dont know this is happening, Just allow origin access again until they fix the issue it aint rocket science, All too happy to bill you're card every month for they're money though.
I enjoyed ea games, played a few fifa's, Madden, a lot parts of battlefield and a few others.
But i think it's time to leave this company behind.
I mean they always was controversial with all these payable content (had the feeling it got better after time) but if they really care so less about the problems i feel like it's better to not show them any kind of support anymore.
Sadly we are not able to play ea games on steam without their * ea App.
How is it possible that this has not been resolved or even acknowledged as a massive problem. Millions of players cant access their games? Unbelievable.
Just had this happen to me today. Turned on XBox GamePass (PC) and got 3 errors (eaconnect_microsoft.exe system error type stuff)
Tried reinstalling the EA app and then got this error...
Luckily repairing the C++ things worked.
Very odd though... I went to sleep with everything working, woke up today and it had somehow broke itself.
- @muggl3z82 Ive done literally everything anyone on any forum has suggested. Msi installer goes most of the way and then comes up rolling back. Crappy too cause about half of my regular games are on ea.
