Solved

EA App isn't working.

Starting yesterday, April 17th, the EA app stopped working properly. It worked fine all of Sunday, but when I tried to open it to play my games yesterday, it wouldn't work.

I click on it to open the app. The sign-in box opens, the icon appears in my taskbar, and that's it. Nothing after that. If I sign out of the app, then the proper Sign In box pops up, working fine, but after signing in, it simply won't load correctly. This is all I get. Just the icon. I have even let it sit there for over an hour, hoping it would eventually open, but it hasn't.

I have rebooted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and done everything I can think of to correct it, but nothing has worked. When talking to my husband, who is a programmer, he said that it's not a fault on my end but on EAs.

Please pass this on to whomever needs to see it so the app can be fixed. I really would like to play. And stream on Twitch again like I was supposed to last night. 💔

Thank you.

@DarkDiamondSimsHi, I managed to make the app work, since I had the same problem, I checked a post, and it solved this problem, it seems that the app "minimize" or "moves" to an invisible screen, I solved it this way:

    - First Press Shift and right click on EA app on the Windows taskbar.
    - Then you have to click on maximize to make it visible.

You can also move it "on screen" too (back to place), this will help the app to not hide, same procedure, but instead of clicking "maximize", you have to click on move, and with your mouse place it where you want it to be.

I hope it helps, have a good day 🙂
May the Force be with you!

@DarkDiamondSims If you are still running into the issue, try the following and see if this helps you out:

    • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
    • Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
    • EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
    • Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
    • Change UAC Controls within Windows

I would also try the following to clean out some old files

    • Delete everything it allows you to delete.
    • Then in the same run box, type, %temp%, and hit Enter
    • Delete everything in the Origin folder except the local content.
    • Reboot the PC

It sounds like something in an update or a bad cache file is causing an issue. Cleaning out the PC like this is good maintenance that helps with this on many launchers.
