So.... My solution stopped working after a bit.
However..I have come to a conclusion and I have found a fix that 100% works.
You do have to create a new local account on your pc and install the ea app there. You don't have to delete your current user account. (I made the stupid mistake by doing this previously)
If you find your ea app doesn't open on your main account, log off. Log into your new user and then launch the app. I tried battlefield as an example for a while.. Then I logged off that account, logged back into my current account.. Opened the ea app.. And wooohooo it worked.
So far so Good. It's been a while since my last post and it hasn't broken yet. All good 👍
I also encountered a similar error, and after trying many methods, the one that worked for me was: Sometimes, a faulty environment variable causes the game to get stuck in incorrect configuration → Open Windows, search for "Environment Variables," and delete the variable named "GAME_DATA_DIR" if it exists, then restart. I'm not sure if this will be useful for everyone, but it worked for me.
