EA app thinks the game isn't installed but it is

My sims 4 game crashed, when i wanted to restart the app told me i needed to do another update.

I tried to do this update but the game said it the files weren't in the right place.

i followed the instructions here (https://help.ea.com/de/articles/technical-issues/clear-cache/)  but now the app thinks i don't have the game installed, when i do infact have it installed

how can i fix this
