EA App will not download game updates due to supposed low disk space

What happens when the bug occurs? Update will not download
What do you expect to see? Fix on the app functions or steps on how to correct
This situation has presented since the change to the EA App from Origin became obligatory. The only workaround I have found is going in and delting big game files in order to get the app to detect enough space for the update to take place, which in return, leaves me with a bigger update to be downloaded and due to the low bandwith available to me, becomes a really big hassle when just wanting to sit down and enjoy games.
Only game currently installed is BF2042 so can't really say if this occurs with other games.
in my case, it was the anti-virus bloquing the update and falsely reporting a low disk problem. Disabled the anti-virus and suddenly everything worked.
