EA Desktop App won't recognize an installed game through Game Pass

I recently got EA Play through Xbox Game Pass for PC and Installed Battlefield V but now whenever I reopen EA Desktop App it isn't recognizing that it is installed and it is prompting me to redownload the entire game again. I have tried multiple ways to fix this including:

- Running the app as an administrator

- Uninstalling and reinstalling both the EA Desktop App and the Xbox App

- Moving my already installed BFV and starting to redownload it again, stopping it, putting my game back in the folder tha game is redownloading into and resuming the download.

None of those options worked. If anyone has any solutions that would be great

  • I have the same problem. I cant instal any games via EA app. Also i have XBOX Game Pass PC. I do all thing like clear cache, unninstal app, and nothing still the same. Only the massage restart computer and try again.

  • Just happened to me as well.

Haven't played in a week or so and all of a sudden it won't recognise the game as installed.

Edit: Great way for EA to get more traffic and users on their web page guess...

  • This happened to me as well. I played battlefront 2, 3 days ago but today I launched the game and the EA beta app said I wasnt Signed in which was weird. I signed In and it told me to instal the game. Clicked install and it says “there was a slight hiccup we couldn’t finish installing battlefront 2. Restart your PC and try again.”

well I did Try again. And again. And again. Nothing. Even if I restart My pc.

  • have the same issue bought  the sims 4 and allot of expansion packs none are on this new crappy ea app
