    I found it. its connected to a windows service:

    Windows key --> type in services --> click on the services app new windows opens --> click in it --> type "e" to navigate to the "EABackgroundService" --> right click --> properties --> change start type to "manually"

I cant play my Mass Effect Legendary Edition thanks to EA PLAY being on. Even though it's background process has been ended via task manager (FYI theres no option to disable on startup that I can find so it ALWAYS launches and just runs)

Why cant you just stick to one platform EA and stop making it impossible to enjoy even your good games.
