Hey there -- the blank grey screen usually points to the EA app not loading the sign-in window properly, especially if you’re not getting an error code. Since you’ve already cleared cache, reinstalled, and tested another network, let’s try a deeper reset of the EA app files on macOS.
First, please try App Recovery if you can access it:
- Open the EA app.
- In the macOS menu bar, choose Help > App Recovery > Clear Cache.
- If macOS asks for a password, use your Mac login password, not your EA account password.
EA’s Mac cache steps are listed here, including the macOS permission note.
If you only see “EA” in the top bar and can’t access Help/App Recovery, try a clean reinstall instead. Dragging the app to Trash may leave Library files behind, so remove EA app/EADesktop-related leftovers from:
- ~/Library/Application Support
- ~/Library/Caches
- ~/Library/LaunchAgents
- ~/Library/Preferences
- ~/Library/Logs
- ~/Library/Saved Application State
Then empty the Trash, restart your Mac, and reinstall the latest EA app. EA’s clean reinstall guide for macOS covers the locations of leftover files.
If it still opens to a grey screen after that, please generate an EA app Error Reporter ID and share the Report ID here. You can do this even if you can’t log in by going to Applications > EA app > Show Package Contents > Contents > Applications > ErrorReporter.
Also, let us know:
- Your macOS version.
- Whether your Mac is Intel or Apple Silicon.
- Whether you can sign in to your EA Account in a normal web browser.
- Whether the grey screen appears immediately or only after entering login details.
Please don’t post your email address, password, backup codes, or any personal account details.
