PLEASE I BEG YOU tell how you fixed issue. I tried all possible methods and nothing worked for me. I just want to play sims4, why do I need this **bleep**ty broken launcher

I have a workaround for you that has proven effective in this situation for me for the past week!
If your computer has a game driver app (in my case it's NVIDIA App), don't bother trying to load the EA App, but open your driver app instead and launch the Sims 4 through there. It forces the EA app to open and somehow doesn't cause all the fuss with crashing background services and manual updates, etc.

And if it does - EA, fix your launcher.
