Error "Something went haywire"

I'm getting a error saying "Something went haywire" when trying to download dlc for Battlefield 3 through the EA desktop app. I've cleared app cache, deleted game and reinstalled and im still getting...

@osunbursto it worked better for me when i installed with origin app instead
