Error when downloading game

Question

I have recently purchased EA FC 24 and am downloading it on the ea app, when I come to the end of the download i get an error messgage saying microsoft visual c++ failed to install with a prompt to install it, when i attempt to do this it says a newer version of microsoft visual c++ is installed and it fails, then the download fails and has to be restarted, I have attempted to delete all the microsoft visual c++ instances in my other game files firstly from control panel then from the individual files but the error still appears.

Hi, unfortunately this page does not help as when i try to install the vcredist files in the games files it comes up with a message saying there is a later version of vcredist on the computer and fails, here is the error in the logs too

Have you tried going to&nbsp;Microsoft’s articles on the latest supported Visual C++ and downloading the latest installer?&nbsp;

If that doesn't fix the problem, I'd suggest to temporarily disable any antivirus that you might have installed and run the EA app as admin when trying to reinstall the game.&nbsp;
