    Ongoing Investigation - Marked as Solution for visibility

    Hey all,

    The EA app teams have released an update that changes the behaviour of the issue.

    The change is implemented in EA app version 12.138, or above.

    Please check what version of the EA app you're using. You can do that via these steps:

    The update should install automatically for you in the coming days.

    However, to check if you can force the update of the EA app, please run the "EA Updater" that comes with the installation of the EA app.

    Please let us know if you're still experiencing the issue once you've updated the EA app.

    If you're still experiencing the issue and your EA app is up to date, please provide the requested details for the investigation: here.

Hi, sorry, I have abandoned this thread, since I got fed up by the EA App.

For anyone looking for easy fix now (december 2022), just uninstall EA App and download old Origin installer from here -> https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/live/OriginSetup.exe

It has worked for me without any issue and I am back on client that actually works.

Do you install Origin in the same folder where the EA app is installed?

    @HDRplayer I have uninstalled EA app prior to installing Origin. I however had no games installed through EA app at that time, so the EA app folder got deleted and Orgin was installed to a new folder.
