[FIXED] - Unable to Install The Sims 4 after For Rent DLC Pre-Order on EA app

it seems I'm not the only person who encountered this problem when I try to download The sims 4 through EA App.

what my EAApp says exactly,

There's a problem with your download

Something went wrong during your download, Give us a few minutes, then try again.

And it's been a while that I uninstalled TS4 on my PC and today tried to download it again.

this message doesn't show on another game. they working fine, but only TS4.

And I already uninstalled EAApp and reinstalled again. and it doesn't fixed the problem.

Also, one I've done before I attempted to download TS4 is, I preordered The Sims 4 For Rent Pack. will this be a problem?

I also have this issue. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling the EA app, recovery mode, running as administrator and I just want to play a game I bought. Why does EA have to make everything so difficult?

@FosterthePandasI am having the exact same issue right now, including every other game being fine -- came on the forums to see if anyone could help. I've tried everything:

1. Reinstalled EA App
2. Cleared the cache through App Recovery
3. Ran EA App as an administrator
4. Followed several You Tube fixes
5. Literally backed up and then wiped my whole PC

So yeah, to say I'm frustrated is an understatement. This is not the first time EA App has messed with my games, but it has never been this unfixable before.

EDIT: I also pre-ordered the "For Rent" expansion prior to downloading.  This is a new PC, hence why my game was not already downloaded.

I can not install my game at all. It gives me an error code whether I switch the download file or run administrator. What can I do?

Summarize your bug Installation of the Sims 4 and associated add-ons is halted and an error message pops up shortly after initiation. The error message is stated in the subject line, but is essentially "Something went wrong, try again later". This repeats Every Single Time thereafter and cannot be resolved by basic or advanced troubleshooting.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Uninstall the game and add-ons, and then try to reinitiate installation.
What happens when the bug occurs? Error message occurs and nothing else happens
What do you expect to see? The game installing

The scenario: 

The EA App had to be uninstalled and reinstalled to troubleshoot a different existing issue regarding launching an installed game. I tried to reinstall The Sims 4 and all associated add-ons once that issue had been troubleshooted and corrected, and the error message "Something went wrong during your download" popped up and repeated every time I clicked Download thereafter. 

Steps taken to correct (so far): 

• Uninstalling and reinstalling the app launcher 
• Uninstalling all other games within my library, logging out, and back into the application 
• Clearing the app cache
• Repairing the app through the uninstall manager feature 
• Running as admin / installing as admin 
• Changing UAC levels for EA App 
• Clean booting the PC (2x)

 i have same issue , how can fix it

I've been having a similar issue where I can't download/install Sims 4 on my main account, but it works just fine when having made a test account to check if it was a computer issue. Last I played on my main account, I had Sims 4 and Origin on a different laptop and last played before the base game was free to play, but recently got a new computer and had to install the EA App, and can't for the life of me download Sims 4 on it at all. It's been a problem since August for me, and I haven't been lucky to get an option to talk to live chat to see if it's an actual account issue to get fixed
