@Shan0mn0m I've merged your posts with the master thread for this particular error. There's not much you can do here, with the exception of installing the Steam version of Sims 4 if you want to try that; some other players in this thread have reported it helped.
I do see in your dxdiag that Nahimic is crashing, so you can also try disabling that before launching Sims 4. It's probably not the cause of the issue, but it's also an easy test. Open the Task Manager and kill anything you see in the background processes list that starts with "Nahimic" or "A-Volute." They'll restart the next time you reboot your computer, so this would be a temporary intervention even if it helped, but like I said, I don't think it's causing the error given how common this error is lately.
Hello everyone,
To help the teams with their investigations into the issue, we would like to have your OnlineActivation_Log for The Sims 4. You can find this file in C:/ProgramData/Origin/Logs/, even if you're playing through the EA app.
If you can't attach the log file directly to your post, you can bundle it up in a .rar file (via a program like WinRAR), and then attach that.
Just a heads-up, the log file you're after should look something like this: TS4_........_OnlineActivation_Log.html.
Many thanks. Your input is hugely appreciated.

It's worth pointing out here that, if you don't already have File Explorer set to show Hidden Files, you may have to switch Show Hidden Files on before you can see the Program Data folder. However, I can't find an Origin folder anywhere on my system. There's an EA folder in Program Data with a Logs folder in it, but the two files in there start with EA, not TS4.

Incidentally, why does the Chrome tab for this page show Solved? It obviously isn't.

Hi @023327f39fda4f73,
If you look at the post that is marked as Solution to this thread, it's also mentioned why the post is marked as Solution. 🙂 It's for visibility purposes only.

I'm also having this issue and have attached my log file below.
Last week I was able to fix it but unlinking my Xbox and EA accounts, but I relinked them today in order to use the 10% discount to buy Horse Ranch, not realising I can't unlink them again for another six months 😒 and of course now the issue is back and I can't play at all.

Just popping back in here to say while I didn't try launching the game through Steam (because it wanted to download everything again), I could launch and play it through the Epic Games launcher! I'm still seeing the original issue on the EA app but have been playing the game successfully through Epic for about a week now if anyone else wanted to try that.

Its been over a month since an update from EA as to what is causing this issue or when we will see any sort of resolution. Can someone please provide an update? This is really poor behavior from a company so large, there has got to be some sort of communication as to where we go from here.
It's been over two months since I have been able to play. Please assist - especially as new game packs and things are announced, there are many of us who can't even play what we have already purchased.
