I am having the same issue. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing with the latest version but still get an error stating "Something went wrong and we couldn't locate your friends list. Try again in a bit"
Mine was fixed this morning. EA did something on their end I didn't change a thing. Hopefully you are all ok now.
