Yea, good luck to get your problem fixed. It's been almost a week since I've posted about a problem that I have that I can't install a game and no one answers me. I'm wasting my ea play time that I paid money for but they just do not care. what a sh*tshow..
- @JTmanic Im having the same issue rn
- @tamoghnodasgupta I can't install BFV only also, I have a gamepass and it shows 0.0 b to download the game and when i press download "game name unavailable" error.
What a joke up, come on EA - @EA_Blueberry How to download BFV every other game works fine, but this one I get the error "game name unavailable" it is clearly not a UAC or whatever, it is on the app end. Fix please

EDIT: When writing this, I left out that I'm using Windows 11 now. That could also be a culprit,
Right after I posted this, I purchased a new gaming computer.
But I still can't download Mass Effect: Andromeda through the EA Desktop app on the new one either. All other games I own can be downloaded through EA Desktop with no issues. I'm not going to post a new bug report on the new computer as this report was never read by anyone at EA anyway. Not going to waste my time.
I may have found a way around this issue, at least for me. I downloaded ME:A through Origin into the same folder as the games from EA Desktop. Then I turned off Origin and all it's processes. I created a shortcut in the Start Menu for ME:A and used that shortcut to start the game instead of going through any EA apps. For some reason, through that shortcut, the game did load through EA Desktop, despite showing it wasn't installed. It's weird, but it worked for me.
NOTE: If you are using Frosty Mod Manager to mod ME:A, launching the game through Frosty works with EA Desktop, but it WILL NOT activate your mods within the game and you'll be playing vanilla. So if you like mods, like I do, you'll have to use Origin. Just make sure EA Desktop processes are turned off first or the app is uninstalled.
I'm currently not using EA Desktop and have it uninstalled. It's an idiotic app that barely functioned on a good day, and a waste of time to use right now. I refuse to play any EA Play on Game Pass games on PC until it's fixed. The link between the EA app and the Game Pass app is constantly unstable to the point I'm reinstalling games daily to play them. I've got better things to do with my time, like cleaning the bathroom, and laundry.
And thanks for the XP THEPIRATE_PETE! Right back at you!

Hi everyone,
I have split up the other thread as different issues were reported for different games. As you all have issues with downloading Battlefield V through the EA app, I decided to have all posts about it in a single thread.
What has been reported so far is:
- EA Play through the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate promotion.
- When looking at BFV on the EA app, it appears as 0 bytes when pressing download.
- When pressing download, you receive a "Game Name Unavailable" error message.
Could you please provide me with a screenshot that shows that the game is 0.0 bytes and of the Game Name Unavailable error message?
- @NerffedMixer I have the same issue. Cannot download anything from EA Play connected with Xbox Game Pass
@MrocznyJedwabnik @NerffedMixer
Did you tried the steps in this post?
- @holger1405 I've tried that one too, didn't help.
