Game Pass Something went wrong... To continue linking your EA Account

This is what it says. For some reason when i change the password it does the same thing.

Still has the issue for months, open a ticket, without results, impossible to know where a old account seems to be linked.

Hello, I had the same problem about 2 years ago and after looking for a thousand solutions and talking to an EA advisor (which was practically useless, just to give me information and look for myself the solution), they told me that it was because I had unlinked the EA account with epic games (but I had never done it) and that this could only be done once in life, but if I had several accounts (two of mine and one of my brother's where most of the games are), sometimes I changed from one account to another so I had other accounts linked to different game stores (Xbox, steam etc). the advisor told me to create a new account and link it to epic games and I could continue playing normally (which I tried with one of the accounts I already had and that I had never linked to anything so it should have worked with that account because it was basically new), then I thought about using one of my old accounts that I did not use for years, since I only played on my brother's and when I checked one of the two accounts I saw that it let me play star wars fallen order and the others (the error was gone). Then I proceeded to try to unlink that epic account and try to link it to my main account (even though the advisor had told me that I could not link it anymore in my life or I could lose my progress in the games) then I proceeded to open the accounts in the browser, unlink them and link it to my main account and error was solved, I had my games back to my EA account, with the same progress and everything working normally (right now I am downloading the fallen order).

SOLUTION: Unlink epic from any old account if you have several. Check all the accounts in the browser in the connections section (verify if the epic games icon appears, it normally does not appear in that section unless it is linked), after verifying which account it is, open it in the EA app and that's it. You could play normally with that account, unlink it and link it to a new account or in my case I never unlinked it from my main account, you could unlink it and reattach it to your main account (with the risk of losing your progress in the games or not let you link it again, I didn't care about that, I preferred comfort).

IMPORTANT: I REMEMBERED ALL THE PASSWORDS AND EMAILS I USED MORE THAN 10 YEARS AGO, SO IT WAS VERY EASY TO ACCESS THOSE OLD ACCOUNTS, IF YOU DON'T REMEMBER PASSWORDS OR EMAIL TRY TO TALK TO AN EA OR EPIC GAMES ADVISOR TO RECOVER THE ACCOUNT OR TELL HIM THAT THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU HAVE THE EA ACCOUNT LINKED TO AN OLD ACCOUNT THAT YOU DON'T REMEMBER BECAUSE THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ALL ACCOUNTS

hola, tuve el mismo problema desde hace 2 años aproximadamente y despues de buscar un millos de soluciones y hablar con un acesor de EA(que no sirvio practicamente de nada, solo para darme informarme y buscar por mi mismo la solucion), me dijeron que era porque habia desvinculado la cuanta de EA con epic games(pero yo nunca lo habia hecho) y que esto solo se podia hacer una vez en la vida, pero si tenia varias cuentas(dos mias y una de mi hermano en donde estan la mayoria de los juegos), a veces cambiaba de una cuenta a otra por lo que tenia otras cuentas vinculadas a distintas tiendas de juegos(Xbox, steam etc). el asesor me dijo que creara una cuenta nueva y la vinculara a epic y podria seguir jugando normalmente(lo cual intente con una de las cuenta que ya tenia y que nunca habia vinculado con nada por lo que debia haber funcionado con esa cuenta porque era basicamente nueva.), entonces pense en usar unas de mis cuentas viejas que no usaba hace años, ya que solo jugaba en la de mi hermano y al revisar una de las dos cuentas vi que dejaba jugar el star wars fallen order y los demas(el error ya no estaba). Entonces procedi a tratar de desvincular esa cuenta de epic y tratar de vincularla a mi cuenta principal (aunque el asesor me hubiera dicho que no podia vincularla mas en mi vida o que podria perder mi progreso en los juegos) entonces procedi a abrir las cuentas en el navegador, desvincularlas y vincularla a mi cuenta principal y error ya estaba resuelto, tenia mis juegos devuelta a mi cuenta de EA, con el mismo progreso y todo funcionando normalmente(ahora mismo estoy descargando el fallen order)

SOLUCION: Desvincular epic de alguna cuenta vieja si es que tienes varias. Revisar todas las cuentas en el navegador en la seccion de conexiones (verificar si sale el icono de epic games que normalmente no sale en esa seccion a no ser que se encuentre vinculada), despues de verificar cual cuenta es, la abres en la app de EA y listo. Podrias jugar normalmente con esa cuenta, desvincularla y vincularla a una nueva cuenta o en mi caso que nunca la desvincule de mi cuenta principal prodrias desvincularla y volverla anclar a tu cuenta principal(con el riesgo de que pierdas tu progreso en los juegos o no te deje volver a vincularla, a mi me daba igual eso, preferia comodida)

IMPORTANTE: YO RECORDABA TODAS LAS CONTRASEÑAS Y CORREOS QUE USABA HACE MAS DE 10 AÑOS, POR LO QUE FUE MUY FACIL PARA ACCEDER A ESAS CUENTAS VIEJAS, DE NO RECORDAR CONTRASEÑAS O EL CORREO ELECTRONICO INTENTA HABLAR CON UN ASESOR DE EA O EPIC GAMES PARA RECUPERAR LA CUENTA O DILE QUE EL PROBLEMA RADICA A QUE TIENES LA CUENTA DE EA ANCLADA A UNA CUENTA VIEJA QUE NO RECUERDAS YA QUE ELLOS TIENEN ACCESO A TODAS LAS CUENTAS
