Games don't open from EA app

Whenever I press play on a game from the EA app, the game never open. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app, clearing EA app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the games, running the EA app as administrator, running the game as administrator. Nothing has worked. One work around I have found for Star Wars Battlefront 2 is opening it from a mod manager instead which works but for other games like Dragon Age Inquisition I don't know of any other ways to open the game so I can't play them.
