How can I fix Battlefield Hardline?

I acquired BF Hardline from Game Pass last night. Began playing it as soon as it downloaded and installed. Had no issues.

Tonight as I'm going to go play it, it pops up saying that I need to install or patch the game to continue playing.

The game is visible in the Xbox app and EA Desktop app. Playing it through Xbox loads EA, EA loads the browser, etc. 

The issue is that the game doesn't need to be updated. I JUST installed and played it yesterday with no restrictions, no issues, etc. So, how can I get Hardline to work properly?

    Hi!

    I had the exact same problem as you described. I don't know what caused this but after some time I started getting this error too. Generally, you should verify game files, but since I couldn't find that option in the EA Desktop app, I completely reinstalled the game and it fixed my problem. Depending on your Internet connection it may take some time, but I've done it like a week ago and it still works to this day.

    Also, if you get kicked shortly after joining a server, you may need to (re)install PunkBuster Anti-Cheat, which has to be downloaded and installed manually.

    YOU NEED TO INSTALL OR PATCH THE GAME BEFORE PLAYING

    I receive this message when I try to open the game. I am using ea app because I have bought xbox game pass and can't download this game in origin.

    Any help?
