I cannot download the sims 4 or any of the other packs I have purchased

This all started when growing together was released. I could not download the game for days so I decided to uninstall the game completely. Now i cannot get the game to download at all. The EA app keeps saying I am not connected to the internet but that is not the case at all. My internet is working just fine. Before the release of the update and new pack I was able to play the game and install other packs. I have done everything under the sun to fix the problem on my end. @EA_Cade Please help!
