I own Xbox game pass but don't have access to EA Play

Summarize your bug Xbox game pass didn't give my EA account an EA play subscription despite definitely having the right accounts connected.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to download an EA game through the Xbox app.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Xbox app redirects me to the game page on the EA app, and it tries to make me pay for the game even though I should have EA play.
What do you expect to see? It should show an install button, and say that i have EA play on my profile.

So I have Xbox game pass which comes with EA play for free, but when I try to download an EA game from the Xbox app, I get redirected to the EA app, but instead of showing the install button, it tries to make me pay for the game, and it doesn't show that I am subscribed to EA play on my account either. I definitely own game pass and I am 100% sure that I have the correct accounts linked because 1. I checked in my EA settings, and 2. When I log in to EA through my Xbox account it works correctly. I distinctly remember a few years ago playing Fifa on this EA account from EA play which I got from the same game pass subscription, but now the game is no longer on my account and i don't have access to EA play. From what I've seen in the forums this seems to be a fairly common problem, but all the solutions I've seen haven't worked for me so I would just appreciate it if someone could help me out because I'm pretty sick of this.
