Impossible to launch Sims 4 without Internet connection

Product: The Sims 4 Platform:PC Which language are you playing the game in? English How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%) What is your current game version number? I can't launch it, so...

Click the 3 bars in the EA App then click Go Offline.

@jpkarlsen This doesn't work if you own the game on Steam. If Steam is in offline mode, or has no internet connection, the EA App refuses to authenticate as far as I can tell. I have been trying for WEEKS.
