Error INST-14-12157

Question

My EA app suddenly stopped working and when I try to play my Sims game it tells me I need to download the Origins app. I have been trying to download the EA app for days and I keep getting the error message inst 14 12157. I have tried running the installer as admin, deleting all EA files on my computer, clearing the catch, and even turning of my computer security but I still get the same message. I apparently am unable to play my games without the app despite being able to log in on the computer and the app not downloading.

Hi SimKayla​,
This error you're getting might be related to the connection. Please try the connection troubleshooting steps suggested in this guide.
You could also try using a different connection temporarily to install the EA app; it might help us isolate the problem.&nbsp;

I already did everything on your "troubleshooting steps" and nothing worked.What do you mean try using a different connection? What connection? Please clarify.
