Installation Failed

So I bundled Sims 4 Horse Ranch, Werewolves game pack, and Paranormal Stuff. And I bought the First Fits kit. None, and I mean, none are downloading. Every time I try, this is the caption that I get:

Installation Failed: The Final stages of installation didn't go as planned. Try again in a little bit.

I talked to a person yesterday and they said it was fixed, but I still haven't been able to download all for DLC. Even after I did all the things they asked me to do.

I've cleared the cache on the ea app MULTIPLE times. I've repaired the sims 4 game twice. Every time I go into the game it's talking about it requires the sims 4, which I have the deluxe. I've lowered permissions. I've restarted the EA App multiple times. I've restarted my computer as well. I had no problem downloading Romantic Garden stuff about three or four days ago. I know it's EA because I went and download Cool Kitchen Stuff on Epic Games App and I had no problem with it downloading and it being linked into my game.

I need help, y'all. Lol. I'm on the verge of asking for a refund and solely buying my games through Epic Games since my accounts are linked.

  • I purchased 2 new add ons for sims 4. But everytime i try to download them they keep crashing and saying installation error 75% done. Nothing I’ve tried is working. Restarted my computer l, the app. Uninstalled and reinstalled sims 4/ add ons. Nothing.

  • @gurlpwease and @seawolves1997, so sorry this has happened to you both!
Please try downloading the free version of Revo Uninstaller and uninstalling the EA app along with all related files ( the data for all of your games shouldn't be lost ).
Then, using a fresh installer file, download the EA app again. Then log into your current account, a new one DOESN'T need to be made.
You will need to download The Sims 4 again but your data won't have been lost. You may also need to re-download any eps, stuff packs and game packs you have too.
Then, try downloading the bundle again. It should be saved with your other eps, stuff packs and game packs.

If it's not, visit https://help.ea.com/en/help-home/ for more help.

    Hope this helps xx

I don't work for EA but I like helping fellow gamers 🙂
  • I had this error and the problem was that a Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable wasn't installed correctly. This is a shared library which is installed as part of the game install, but *not uninstalled* when you uninstall the game or the EA app. It's left on your system because many other programs use it. So if it has a problem, your problem doesn't go away by reinstalling the game.

I uninstalled the redistributables manually the normal way in Windows ("uninstall a program", or "add or remove programs", depending on which version of Windows - you likely will see several different versions installed, in my case I just uninstalled the more recent ones), and then I reinstalled them manually once I found them in the __Install folder of the game, and then it worked. I expect that after uninstalling them, you could just reinstall the game and it would install them for you and it should be fine if this was the source of your problem.

I believe this happened because I ran out of space on my drive a while ago, maybe while a redistributable was installing, so it was kind of half installed and in a bad state.

  • Hey, I have the same problem on my EA App on Windows, it starts to downloading but stops at 72% and don't get any error code. I puchased my packs from G2A and before this it has always worked. I've tried to do all the things that should help the downloading but it hasn't helped. What could be the issue? I also tried to uninstall The Sims 3 main game but it doesn't let me uninstall it.
