    Under investigation. Accepting as solution for visibility purposes only.

    After claiming the Bundle, I could not see the new DLC in my EA App until I launched The Sims 4 through Epic Games. After that, the DLC showed up as owned in EA App, I could download it, and launch the game through EA App, even with Epic Games closed.

    After launching The Sims 4 through Epic, please try specifically looking up the DLC you need using the search bar, instead of using the Manage Add-Ons menu.

Hello

With three packs becoming available for free on Epic Games, I decided to make an account there and link it with my EA app. I haven't been able to play my saved games ever since. Whenever I try to launch Sims 4 on the EA app, it immediately opens my Epic Games account where I have no DLC installed and my saved files can't be accessed. I'm scared to try anything else, I don't want my DLC, saved files and mods to disappear. Can anyone help?

So basically, there is a pack bundle on epic (with jungle adventure ect.). My epic account and Ea account are linked and other games work no problem but, Ea app doesn't show the packs from the bundle as owned but when I open the sims, inside the game menu in the expansions tab it shows that i have them except tha when I play the content is not showing.

In summary

- epic show that i own the pack

- ea app doesn't

- the game itself shows that I own them but its like they're not downloaded

- since the ea app doesn't recognise that i have them i cannot download them manually (app wants me to buy it)

- i cannot download it from epic beacuse it just opens the game

    I had the same issues - after closing both apps (epic and ea launcher) and then starting the ea app alone I had to re-login in the ea launcher. Then I went to sims 4 -> manage -> expansions and there were the new 3 packs ready for download.  

    Not so nice but to be expected - Sims 4 will launch the epic-launcher even if you start it from the ea app. Its a bit annoying as epic takes ages to launch.

      Well, idk whats changed because 2 hrs ago the free epic dlc was not listed on the EA manage addons for download, but NOW it is and can be downloaded! YaaaY🥳

      For what its worth, the only difference this time, is the epic is not running.

      EDIT: nevermind, once I deleted the Epic Games launcher, I couldn't start the game anymore. I suppose you'll need to keep Epic Games installed.

      @mate54 Hi! Did you have any other packs of any sort before, when you were using the EA app? and if so, did they transfer over when you launched the sims 4 through Epic Games? I have some packs that ive already bought, and i dont want to switch over for free DLC if its going to get rid of the ones i have bought.

        @Jeanxter I had some DLC before all of this. It's still accessable for me. The only inconvenience right now is the dependancy on the Epic Games launcher to play the game. A tip is to make sure to make a backup of your current game. In case linking your account to epic games messes some stuff up, you can import your save files and mods back in

      @mate54 This solution worked for me. I was able to find the DLC through the search feature and downloaded it that way, and now it finally shows up in my game. Thank you so much!

    This exact thing is happening to me right now, I want the free DLC, but now that it says ive already "claimed it" and yet in game and through EA its saying i dont have the 3 DLC in my game, im afraid i wont be able to reclaim it once this problem gets fixed.

        @EA_Cade someone said that they tried it, but after they deleted the EPIC GAMES launcher they couldnt start up The Sims 4 anymore. I dont want that to happen. Is there a real solution here or was the free DLC a joke?

    @Dorotazezlota this exact thing happened to me, I logged out of my EA account in the EA app and logged back in. Since nothing else was working I figured I would try the old "turn it off and back on" method so to speak lol. After doing this when I logged back in and selected manage add ons they all showed up with the option to download. Hope this helps!! 🙂 Happy simming
