Issue linking EA to Epic

I recently bought BF2042 on sale in Epic games launcher, while trying to download it gives a pop up saying to reset my EA password. I have never linked my Epic games account to an EA account and am honestly really stumped. I have tried everything I have seen online with similar issues, redownloading both the EA app and Epic games Launcher, as well as restarting my PC and such. If anyone knows any method to fix this that would be great.
